Hi my name is Danielle and I'm a mum, teacher and now author! I live in Melbourne, Victoria with my husband, two boys and my fur baby. I have always had a passion for teaching, in particular Literacy which means I absolutely LOVE books. It has always been a dream of mine to write my own book but it was a dream that I put on the back burner for many, many years.

• spending time with my boys

'What Do I Do With A Secret?' was written right after the birth of my second son and has been years in the making. I had recently heard a story from a mum where she discovered that her little one had been asked to keep a secret by a well meaning family member. I went to bed that night thinking about my little ones and whether I was doing enough to create the safety and attachment that they needed to speak to my husband and I about anything on their minds.

This picture book is a labour of love. To see an idea blossom into what it is today and to share my book with my own boys has been nothing short of a dream come true.

I am so grateful and blessed that this book is making its way into the homes and hands of parents and children everywhere. I hope that this too, brings both magic, love and deepened connections from my 'belli miei' to yours.

Belli Miei (pronounced BEL-LY MI-YAY) was created and inspired by my family. Being an italo - australian family, we use a mix of both languages. Directly translating to 'my beautifuls' or 'my beauties', it is what I call my beautiful children.
